Our Philosophy
RURAL areas in any country play a vital role in the development of the country. India stands no different as the second most populous country in the world with 15-16% of the total World’s population and with its 74.7% of population living in Rural Areas, 24.3% in Urban Areas. Rural Areas are abundant with natural resources when compared to Urban Areas. Never in the History of the Human Race has been MAN under such stage of siege as today, an ever depleting natural resources and ever growing levels of material production. More than 60 yrs have passed by with more than half of the country’s population being caught in the web of illiteracy, poverty and unemployment. A sense of mild fear exists in every conscious human being, raising many questions about what should be our next step to tackle the Natural Resource Depletion, Poverty, Illiteracy and many other Crisis.
Problems faced:
RURAL AREAS
- Lack of Primary Health Care mainly for Elderly, young Women and Children.
- Lack of Primary Education to more than 70% of the population.
- Environmental problems like Deforestation, Soil Erosion, Overgrazing, Desertification, Water Pollution (runoff of agri pesticides).
- Depletion in quality Agriculture Products.
URBAN AREAS
- Lack of Primary Health Care mainly for Elderly, young Women and Children.
- Lack of Primary Education to more than 70% of the population.
- Environmental problems like Deforestation, Soil Erosion, Overgrazing, Desertification, Water Pollution (runoff of agri pesticides).
- Depletion in quality Agriculture Products.
Our Solution for Rural Concerns:
A solution for the Rural Concerns cannot be a single idea or statement but can be achieved if we implement the idea of GRAM SWARAJ – Villages to be autonomous, Self-reliant and Self managing republics.
- Strengthen the village Administration through Capacity Building, Formation of Cooperatives and Effective line departments.
- Implement technological solutions in the Village for Agricultural and Allied Activities Development, Renewable Energy Sources and Effective Education.
- Induce Ecological Concerns into every Developmental Activity in order to preserve and protect the natural environment.
- Developing an Integrated and participatory approach at the local level that can create a new relationship between Man, Nature and Growth resulting in a sustainable growth.
- Creation of model villages in every mandal, every district and every state in the country, for quick reproduction of model villages.
Model of Working
We believe in the model of Gram Swaraj and are focused to create an ideal village and replicate the same model of working in other areas of Andhra Pradesh State. In our view the following can be the characteristics of an IDEAL VILLAGE.
- Requisite Education Development Facilities
- Primary Health Care Provision
- Sufficient Employment Opportunities
- Environmental Friendly activities
- Good Water and Sanitation facilities
- Self Sustainable Renewable Energy Sources and Technologies
- Good Agriculture and allied activities practices
